What's Your super power?
I remember the first time I asked one of my mentees this several years ago and it led to a deep exploration of not just what she did but who she was. We riffed on the superpower theme for a few more sessions where we also identified her “nemesis” in the form of an obstructive person at work and crucially how this dove-tailed into her “kryptonite” being a deep-rooted aversion to dominant personalities. Once identified, we worked on maximising her innate qualities and minimising historical hurts.
This is just one example of many approaches I have taken to help unearth inherent power-skills and in a world where knowledge is a Google search away, self mastery and how to create meaningful connection is the new currency.
I credit much of my success to the formal and informal mentors that have helped shape me and my career. With over 30 years’ senior-level experience, I now have the great pleasure in supporting others in finding their true talents and using them intentionally to find personal and professional breakthroughs.
